The Best of Friends

Prepare to be bombarded by tons of photos. This past week Jaime and Jackson were in town visiting. We decided to celebrate by going to get our portraits taken. It was so much fun. (for everyone but Audrey who was grumpy in front of the camera) When we first started getting the pictures taken Max had said that he would not smile because he was going to be the "bad guy." The photographer asked the boys to yell "boo" to scare her. She was so scared she jumped. The boys thought this was hilarious and Jaime, Deidre and I thought it was a brilliant way to make the kids smile.
Jackson, Isaac, and Max laughing after they scared the photographer.
These looks are so classic. We have seen these smiles together many times.
I love this one of Max.
Here is Jackson's sweet smile.
Isn't Isaac cute?
Hannah loved getting her picture taken. We were trying to distract Audrey from putting her fingers in her mouth with the flower. It didn't help us get better pictures, though.
This is probably the best Audrey picture of the whole shoot.
Here is cute Hannah. She loved having her picture taken.
A picture with Jaime, Deidre and me. We had noticed that there weren't any pictures of the three of us even after we had spent so much time together. Our cameras were always focused on the kids.
Here is the whole gang.
Best buds.
Audrey and Hannah with their Aunt Jaime. They have missed her so much. When they first saw Jaime this week, they couldn't stay out of her arms for long!
My girls.

I feel so blessed to have wonderful friends like Jaime and Diedre. I also don't know how I would have survived that first year with twins without them... in fact, I am pretty sure I wouldn't have been able to do it.

New Back Yard

We have been so excited about having a back yard we could use this year. Our kids love eating and playing outside. I love having the opportunity to let the kids enjoy being outdoors, but having them gated from any of the streets. I will be adding more pictures soon of the back yard with the cool new furniture we have purchased.
Kids first back yard picnic. All three of them thought it was amazing to be allowed to eat outside.
The amazing garden boxes that Greg and Isaac built together. This is prior to the hail storm. We had to cut down the rhubarb because it was completely damaged. Now we are waiting to see how long it takes to grow back that big.

Greg's new grill. He loves it and we all love the food that is cooked on it. It fits so perfectly in this space on the patio... almost as if we had designed it that way.

Hair

My girls hair is getting so much longer. This week my friend Kimbra braided Hannah's hair into two french braids. It was so adorable. Hannah did a wonderful job sitting still while her hair was being done. I will have to try it with Audrey sometime.
Hannah's hair. Thanks Kimbra!

A cute Audrey picture. Just because.

KIds and the piano

This is a cute video from a few weeks ago. The kids went upstairs and were playing some music for me on the piano. It was so fun, I decided to pick up the camera. I love that Audrey is playing with one of her pretty necklaces as well as playing the piano. I love Isaac's eyebrows as he plays. Also, see if you can spot Hannah's cheese face in the middle.

Enjoy some original music!

The Hop

We have a fun place in Denver that has tons of bounce houses called The Hop. It is a great place to take the kids in the winter when we can't play outside very much. We went to the Hop last week and had a blast bouncing everywhere. They didn't want to leave when the open hop closed and we had to go home. Audrey and Hannah had played so hard that they fell asleep before we got to the first stop light on the way home.
Isaac loves to practice hitting base balls at this house. A man that was there complimented Isaac on his great arm and Isaac was talking about it for days afterwards.
Audrey bounced with some help from my friend. Now she loves to jump at home and she actually gets off of the ground.

Isaac drives a car.

Hannah loved driving this car, but she had a hard time going forward.

We are experiencing Double Trouble!

We have found that Audrey and Hannah just love to be dangerous. Hannah is usually more fearless than Audrey, but if Audrey feels that something is safe, she will join in wholeheartedly. Tonight, both girls decided it would be wonderful to jump from the arms of the couch onto the couch. They both loved it. Here are a few pictures for your enjoyment, or possibly to give you a heart attack.
Hannah and Audrey getting ready to jump.

I couldn't figure out how to adjust the rotation on this video. However, I love how Hannah says "Watch!" Greg is talking on Skype in the background if you are wondering about that conversation. As you can see the most dangerous time in the jump is while the girls are balancing on the arms of the couch.

Night at the Civic Center

On Tuesday evening we took the kids to the Civic Center to see the lighting of the trees. They had a lot of fun activities. All of the kids got a cookie. One of the rooms was decorated as a winter wonderland. Isaac loved the soap snow they were blowing into the room. He also was able to decorate and draw on a cardboard house and castle. Mostly, the girls just ran around. However, when the switch was flipped to light all of the trees, they also had a fireworks display. My favorite part was that we got to see the whole thing from the warmth of the indoors. Isaac and the girls loved the candy they were sent home with.

Isaac really loved drawing on this house.

Isaac added some stickers to the castle.
